At their Gamescom 2013 press conference, Sony yesterday confirmed the release date for the Playstation 4 (PS4). The successor to the Playstation 3 will release in Europe and the UK on Friday 29th November, I know i’ve already got the day booked off and will be entering a mountain dew coma around about 3.30am on the Saturday night. I’ll let you know if I pull through.
In Microsoft’s more humble presser, they announced that all European pre-orders of the Xbox One will come with a free download of the latest in EA’s juggernaut football franchise, FIFA 14, all for the same price of £430. Whilst this is still mroe expensive than buying a PS4, a copy of FIFA 14, and a month of PS+ (that comes with a free copy of Drive Club), it’s still a great move by Microsoft in an effort to try and claw back points from their monumental PR fuck up following their E3 presser.
